AF Invest operates directly in managing venture e seed capital funds. Its first fund, Novarum FMIEE, was introduced in 2003 in partnership with Jardim Botânico Partners.

One of the funds currently managed by JB Partners is the Novarum Fund. Based in Belo Horizonte, Novarum is the first Brazilian fund devoted exclusively to investments in technology-based start-up projects and companies.
